A Coronavirus Update
Your health and safety and that of our local community and employees is our TOP PRIORITY! We know that water is an essential service that is vitally important to you and to all Kentuckians. We are taking steps to ensure your safety and are enacting a Coronavirus preparedness plan that we want to share with you.
We have determined the wisest immediate action we can take is to limit the amount of personal interaction required by our customers and employees. To that end, beginning Monday, March 16th, the lobby of our Business Office will be closed. This measure is being taken to ensure the safety of both our employees, as well as our most vulnerable customers. All transactions, service requests, and account changes may be completed through a multitude of options, including:
- Telephone during our normal business hours (8 am – 4 pm, Monday – Friday).
- Our Depository Vault can be used to drop off payments 24 hours a day.
- Email correspondence (info@londonutilitycommission.com)
- Online payments can be made 24 hours a day (londonutilitycommission.com)
- Automated telephone payments can be made 24 hours a day (606-864-2103).
THINGS THAT WILL NOT CHANGE:
LONDON UTILITY COMMISSION has a staff of Licensed Treatment Operators that oversee the production of nearly 2 million gallons of water per day, as well as the recycling of over 3 million gallons of wastewater per day. These treatment systems are effective in removing and inactivating viruses. We will continue to work every day to fully meet all current federal and state drinking water requirements and provide you with locally produced water and wastewater services that are safe, clean and reliable.
LUC also has a certified staff of Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Operators that will continue to be on call 24 hours a day to respond to any water related emergencies. We have multiple capital improvement projects that are on-going. Our staff will continue to stay focused on our primary mission, which is to provide our community with the highest quality water and wastewater service possible.
Thank you for your support and understanding as we maintain our mutual commitments to the safety of our community and our promise to provide essential services. If you have questions, please feel free to contact our office at (606) 864-2103, or by email at info@londonutilitycommission.com.
